EXCEPTIONAL WOK

I have had a stainless steel Wok for many years but I have never been pleaed with it's performance. It heated unevenly and food stuck to it continuously. I like to stir fry so I have been in the market for a proper, high quality carbon steel wok for some time.

After doing a good deal of research I settled on the Yosukata Wok and I could not be more pleased. Like carbon steel and cast iron skillets, the wok needs to be seasoned properly and the seasoning needs to be maintained to ensure that the Wok performs to its full potemtial but once done and maintained, it has proven to be a terrific cooking instrument.

My only small complaint is the steep angle of the handle. It is a bit awkward on a stove top, unless you are a taller person. As this is an authentic Wok, I expect that the angle is designed for a Wok burner which is usually lower than a range top. It is a small matter as the Wok is of very high quality and is a plesure to cook with.

I like it and I use it almost everyday for any Asian cooking meal

- Not seating flat on ceramic stove even though I bought the ceramic version
- Heavy (my wife can't use 1 hand to hold the wok)
- Like all other carbon steel wok, it need maintenance after each clean to prevent rust.

Induction Friendly and Sturdy! Loving It!

I’ll be honest I was worried about what to expect when ordering this wok, but I’ve been nothing but impressed. While this has been preseasoned you will want to do some more seasoning as the instructions indicate, but the included guide shows some simple ways to do it. I’ve used it several times and have been impressed every time.

It is on the heavy side so be sure you can handle it when cooking. The flip side is that it feels solid and sturdy, so I’m happy for it.
